Define the separation
Start with the incoming particle-size distribution, the required cut and the number of fractions. Tell the team whether you are removing oversized contamination, grading a bulk material or testing a laboratory sample.
Match the movement
Rotary and ultrasonic screens cover powder separation; tumbler and gyratory screens provide other motion patterns for classification. Linear and circular screens address different dry and bulk-material duties. Laboratory sieve shakers are for sample analysis.
Check the material
Moisture, stickiness, density and particle shape affect screen performance. A nominal mesh size alone is not enough to specify a machine. For difficult fine powders, discuss mesh-cleaning methods and whether ultrasonic assistance is appropriate.
Prepare your enquiry
Provide the material name, sample information, current and target particle sizes, hourly capacity, available installation height and feeding method. Ask for the selected deck arrangement, contact material and outlet positions.
